So many artists reach for the low-hanging fruit when songwriting: love, heartbreak, hurt, and sex. What makes Grammy-nominated singer Emily King stand out from the rest is her unique ability to capture the "in-betweens" of those emotions- the melancholy of a long-distance relationship, the jolt of energy that comes from meeting a new person, the trust between "good friends."
